Who we are

Blacksmith Experience is operated by AIONIQ Technologies. "We" and "us" mean that company. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with Google or an email address and, to work on projects, connect a GitHub account. Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 16 to sign up.

Plans, credits and billing

A personal workspace starts with a free 7-day trial with 500 AI credits, with no card needed, once per person. Team, school and hiring workspaces choose a plan to start. When a trial ends without a plan, your work is kept, but the AI team stops until you choose a plan or use credits you bought.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe in US dollars. Credit top-ups can also be paid through Paystack in naira. A plan's credits are a monthly allowance and do not carry over. Credits you buy do not expire.

You can cancel at any time, and your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. You can ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment for a plan by contacting us. If a credit purchase is refunded, the credits from it are taken back.

Your code and content

Code you write lives in your own GitHub repository and belongs to you. Blueprint starter codebases are provided for you to build on: you may use, change and ship the code in your projects, including commercially, and we keep the right to offer the Blueprints to others. You give us permission to read your repository and project content only to run the service: planning, reviews, walkthroughs and levels.

Levels, points and portfolios

Levels and points are based on observations of your work on the platform. They describe that work. They are not a qualification or a guarantee of employment. Your portfolio is private until you share its link.

Organisations

Schools, staffing firms and other organisations that pay for seats or trials agree to an order form or pilot letter as well as these terms. An organisation can see the activity, levels and points of the people it enrols, and a candidate's hiring report only with the candidate's consent.

Jobs and AI interviews

Companies post jobs on Blacksmith Experience and decide who they hire. We are not part of any employment between you and a company. When you apply, you choose what to share with the company, as set out in our privacy policy.

A company may use our AI interviewer. Its report and ratings are advice to the company's hiring team, which makes the decision. You can ask to speak with a person instead.

Acceptable use

Don't submit someone else's work as your own, let someone else or another AI answer your walkthroughs, trials or interviews for you, attack or overload the service, or use it to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

The AI team

Your teammates are AI. Their reviews and advice can be wrong, so use your judgement before relying on them for production systems.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time, and you have 14 days to change your mind by signing in again. We may close accounts that break these terms. Your code stays in your GitHub repository either way.

Liability

We provide the service as it is and as it is available. We work to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that the AI team's work will be fit for a particular purpose.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria hear any dispute about them.
